Tumwater Old Town Center (OTC) operates as a Senior Center weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The OTC provides seniors 55 and over who are residents of the greater Tumwater area with activities, lunch, coffee, snacks and fellowship. 

Activities (all activities are free unless otherwise noted)

Lunch: Served Monday - Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Cost is $3 per day or purchase a 10-meal ticket ($30) and receive your 11th meal free! Menus include a variety of meals (soups, casseroles, fruits, and salads)!  No reservations necessary. Download the monthly Senior Newsletter below.

Pinochle: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the OTC lunch room. There is always somebody looking for a game. 

Choir: Mondays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the multi-purpose room. The choir performs locally. Come join us! Call Brenda O'Gorman at (360) 754-6842 for more information.

Senior “Jam”: Do you like old time tunes and bluegrass music? Every Tuesday from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., you’ll find a group of like-minded folks ready to sing and play. Join us in the multi-purpose room.

Bingo: Join us the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 12:15 p.m. in the lunch room. Prizes donated by the OTC Senior Council.

Arts & Crafts Group: Join other artists every Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the multi-purpose room. Please bring your own supplies. Call Todd at (360) 754-4160 for more information.

Bridge: Every Thursday is bridge day at OTC. Join us as we play this exciting game in the lunch room after lunch 12:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Thurston County Food Bank Drop-Off: The Thurston County Food Bank will visit the OTC on the 2nd Friday of each month at 12:00pm, to drop off already-prepared bags of food. To be eligible for this FREE program you will need to complete an Intake Form (available in the lunch room). Contact Todd Anderson at (360) 754-4160 for further information.

Senior Trips: Senior Services for South Sound offers several Senior Trips throughout the year! The pick-up and drop-off points are the Lacey Senior Center and Olympia Senior Center. Don’t miss out on these awesome trips at very reasonable prices. Inclement Weather Policy

In the case of inclement weather (snow, wind, power outages), the OTC follows the Tumwater School District (TSD) schedule.  Please listen to local radio stations for closure updates:  94.5 ROXY FM , MIXX 96.1 FM or KGY 1240 AM.

School closure for the day: No Senior Program. 
2-hour delay: Senior Program opens 2 hours late. 
Early closure:  If conditions worsen over the course of the day, staff may decide to close for our participants’ safety.
