Blood pressure checksAccording to the Centers for Disease Control, about one in three adults in the United States – an estimated 75million – has high blood pressure (2016). This is an increase of 7 million over the last two years. Having high blood pressure puts you at risk for heart disease and stroke, which are the leading causes of death in this country. People of all ages and backgrounds can develop high blood pressure, but fortunately it’s mostly preventable. For more information on high blood pressure prevention, visit the CDC’s website.
