The City of Tumwater cooperatively sponsors and funds Stream Team with the storm and surface water utilities of the Cities of Lacey and Olympia and Thurston County. Stream Team provides a fun and rewarding way to protect and improve local streams, rivers and Puget Sound. Volunteers are able to participate in a variety of activities from planting trees to becoming a Salmon Steward.

Various locations in Tumwater and throughout Thurston County, primarily located outdoors.

Stream Team volunteers remove invasive plant species, plant native shrubs and trees, monitor biological water quality, provide educational activities for community members, serve as docents for the Deschutes Chinook salmon run and much more.

No minimum commitment is required.

Stream Team events are open to everyone. Individuals and community groups are welcome to attend. Volunteers of all ages can get involved.
