Tumwater City Hall, Old Town Center, and Tumwater Library will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Water, sewer, and street problems can be reported by calling the Public Works hotline at (360) 754-4150. Police, fire, and emergency medical response services will be available as usual.

Public Safety Levy

In August 2011, the voters of Tumwater approved Proposition 1, a property tax levy lid lift to improve public safety services. Funding for the initiative started in January 2012. The annual investment in this program is approximately $1.44 million (2012). 

Promises Made, Promises Kept

With Proposition 1, City leaders made a promise to improve public safety and report progress to the community for 1) fire and police personnel, 2) facility improvements including an expansion of the Police Department, and 3) equipment. Thank you voters!
