Special Event Permit

If event is located on public property, a special event permit must be obtained by the Tumwater Police Department. This permit is generally required if holding your event on public property or where neighboring residents will be subject to amplified music, excess traffic, noise, and/or street closures necessary to safely hold your event. We recommend that you allow sufficient time prior to your event in order to obtain any permits that may be required.

If you the event is on private property other than your own, a letter granting permission should be included with your application.

Please contact the City Volunteer Coordinator for assistance with the permitting process if you anticipate any of these special circumstances when hosting your event.
