Post Date:06/10/2026 9:57 a.m.

Use Detour Routes

Sapp Road between Crosby Boulevard and RW Johnson/Bush Mountain Drive SW

Beginning June 15 through early fall 2026

Beginning June 15, Sapp Road will be closed between Crosby Boulevard and RW Johnson Blvd/Bush Mountain Drive as part of the Percival Creek Fish Passage Barrier Removal project. Detour routes will be in place for thru traffic including motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. Local access will be maintained for properties within the closure.

The project entails excavating Sapp Road to remove an undersized concrete culvert and replace it with a new box culvert to allow fish to more freely navigate Percival Creek. The project is slated for completion in early fall 2026. Learn more at www.ci.tumwater.wa.us/PercivalSappRd

All scheduled road construction projects are subject to change due to weather, equipment, and project delays. Call (360) 252-5408 or email Communications with questions or concerns.
