Traffic lane restrictions – Expect delays, use alternate routes
2nd Avenue from B Street to Linwood Avenue
7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Beginning January 20, 2026

Construction on the 2nd Avenue Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements project begins Tuesday, January 20. The work will take place 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., weekdays.

During working hours, lane restrictions will reduce travel to single lane alternating traffic. On-street parking may  be prohibited in some areas. Traffic control and flaggers will be in place to assist motorists through the work zone. Access for local residents and businesses will be maintained whenever possible, though some delays may occur.

For the first several weeks, the work will focus on roadway resurfacing, stormwater improvements, updates to ADA sidewalk ramps, select sidewalk replacements, permanent signage, and pavement markings.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time or take alternate routes if possible.

Construction of a new roundabout at 2nd and Linwood Avenue is expected to begin in April and completion is anticipated in early fall.
