After two years of work with the community, the draft Elements of the Comprehensive Plan are now available for review on the 2025 Comprehensive Plan update webpage.

The draft Elements address capital facilities, climate, conservation, housing, land use, and transportation. They include goals and policies that impact many parts of our daily lives, such as how the Tumwater City Council prioritizes funding, where more housing can be built, and how environmental areas are protected. The goals and policies are found in part one of each Element and technical information is in part two of each Element.

The greatest opportunity for the community to influence how Tumwater will grow over the next 20 years is now. Please send your comments, concerns, and questions to CompPlan@ci.tumwater.wa.us and check the project schedule for opportunities to attend public meetings to ensure your voice is heard.
