Custer Way Water and Storm Improvements Project

Road Closure – Expect Significant Delays
Custer Way from Boston Street SW to Cleveland Avenue SE

February through June 2020

Custer Way from Boston Street SW to Cleveland Avenue SE will be closed, 7 p.m. – 6 a.m., with a detour route in place beginning Monday, February 17, through June 2020. Daytime traffic will be reduced to a single, alternating lane of one-way traffic.

Drivers should expect significant delays, although most impactful work will be completed at night. During morning and evening peak travel hours work will be limited to mitigate traffic impacts.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to bypass the area.

Electronic message boards, cones, and detour signs are in place throughout the work zone. Streets within the proximity of the project are expected to receive more traffic volume than normal due to the detour route.

When the road is open, traffic control and flaggers will be on site to assist drivers and pedestrians through the work zone. Please drive slowly through the work zone, and comply with all instructions from flaggers.
