Earth Day Volunteer Work Party
Each year, Tumwater Parks & Recreation partners with the PARC Foundation to celebrate Earth Day with a fun and rewarding community work party.
New this year: Registration is limited to middle and high school students (with a few exceptions). The Tumwater school with the highest student participation will receive $1,000 for its ASB program, and the second-place school will receive $500.
A parent or guardian must complete the registration form on the student’s behalf. Students ages 13 and under may participate only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Tools, gloves, water, and lunch will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for working outside. This event will be held rain or shine!

Arbor Day Plant Giveaway
Arbor Day, the nation’s first tree-planting holiday, was established 150 years ago. Today it is observed in all 50 states and in countries all around the world. This holiday creates a way for us to come together, celebrate trees, and teach the younger generation about the need for environmental stewardship.
Tree giveaway details will be announced as the event gets closer.
