Tumwater Baseball
“PLAY BALL!” Believe it or not, baseball season is just around the corner. Tumwater Parks & Recreation will offer our spring baseball league with two divisions of play for grades K/1st and 2nd/3rd. Our season runs from mid-March thru the end of May with registration January 3 - 31. All players will be outfitted with complete uniforms, including a jersey, hat, and pants. Uniforms available for sizing at registration.
K/1st division is coach pitch for entire season. 2nd/3rd division is coach pitch in the beginning of the season progressing to kid pitch for the remainder of the season. This format significantly increases the hitter’s opportunity to put the ball in play, resulting in more defensive opportunities which is fun and exciting for everyone!
Sign ups: Monday-Friday, January 3 - 31
Date: Saturday, January 22 – 10:00am to noon
(Uniforms available for sizing at registration)
Location: Tumwater City Hall
Ages: Grades K-3rd
Fee: $75 thru Jan 31
$85 after Jan 31 providing space is still available on teams.
Parents, this league simply cannot operate without your involvement.
This is your opportunity to get involved as a coach and create a positive experience for the youth of this community. Volunteer coaches are needed and we encourage you to contact Tumwater Parks & Recreation today to receive your 2011 informational coach’s packet. League registration forms will be available at Tumwater City Hall January 3.

Elk’s “Hoop Shoot” Contest
ARE YOU READY for the Elk’s annual free-throw shooting contest? Look for competitions held by your school. School champions from each age category will compete in the City of Tumwater Shoot-off held in December. Winners will advance to the Olympia Elk’s Lodge competition and may progress to district, state, regional and national competitions. Good luck!
