Fax: 360-754-4142 Water Emergency – Water Main Break A contractor working on "I" Street broke a major transmission main that feeds the reservoir on Tumwater Hill resulting in the loss of water service to most of the City of Tumwater at approximately 2:45 PM. City crews responded immediately and have isolated the break. Pressure within most of the system should return within the hour. Approximately a half-million gallons of water was lost in the span of 20 minutes, resulting in localized street flooding. If you continue to experience low water pressure, please contact the city at 754-4150.
