HEY!  HERE COMES THE PARADE & FIREWORKS FESTIVAL!

25th Annual Independence Day Parade

The City of Tumwater invites you to the 25th Annual Independence Day Celebration Parade. Our theme this year: "Four-Legged Fourth." Tumwater PD's own K-9 Otis will be our Grand Marshal. The parade begins at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Individuals and organizations interested in participating in the parade should complete a parade entry packet. Entry deadline is Friday, June 22 at 5:00pm.

If you have a classic convertible and would like to escort one of our dignitaries, we'd love to hear from you! These entries are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tumwater Artesian Festival & Thunder Valley Fireworks Show
Festival entry: FREE! Event Parking: $10/car

The biggest and best fireworks festival in the County is happening at Tumwater Valley Golf Course on July 4th! For the 12th year, we will be hosting the Artesian Family Festival & Thunder Valley Fireworks Show at the golf course driving range. Music, food, games and a lot more is waiting for you – gates open at 6:00pm. The fireworks show starts at 10:15pm and will be accompanied by music on site.

Please Note: Pioneer Park will be closed all day on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

Tumwater’s Screen on the Green

Join us on Fridays in August for the 7th Annual Screen on the Green. Tumwater Parks and Recreation is bringing four of your favorite movies to our outdoor cinema at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course. It'll be guaranteed fun for the whole family, and admission is FREE. Come early and enjoy dinner on the patio at the River's Edge restaurant. Or you can bring your own picnic as long as you abide by park rules. Low-backed chairs are allowed, but grills, umbrellas, and pets are prohibited. Gates will open at 7:30pm and movies begin at dusk.
