CPR

Can you save a life?  This two-hour course is a must for everyone.  The instructor will teach participants the proper CPR and life-saving choking techniques pertaining to ages one to adult.  The American Heart Association endorses this class.

Pediatric CPR

First Aid

Training includes CPR certification, introduction to Automated External Defibrillation, lecture and practical skills application of minor emergency trauma situations, and receipt of 2 year First Aid Certification.

Martial Arts

Taekwon-Do

Learn self-defense and the techniques involved in Taekwon-Do.  Join us and improve your flexibility, strength, and endurance.  Participants are invited to attend their first class on a trial basis.  Give this a try once – you’ll be back for more!

Judo

Judo is a traditional Japanese martial art, and also an Olympic sport, that involves physical exercises, stretching, instruction and practicing technique, and practical application.  Students participate as a group but are generally separated by physical size – adults and youth.  Judo techniques include throwing, grappling, chokes, and arm-locks.  Chokes and arm-locks are only practiced by older students.  Instruction in this course will be directed toward sport judo but has application in self-defense and personal fitness.  When participating in this class you will need to purchase a judo outfit and a membership in one of the three national judo associations.  Information available the first day of class.

Beginner Tai-Chi Chung

This class covers a basic introduction to Tai Chi Chung.  The course is structured on a progressive step-by-step curriculum.  Training consists of warm-ups, stretching, basic stance, and hand movements.  There will be an emphasis on balance of physical postures and mental focus for a relaxed aerobic workout.
