TUMWATER PLANNING COMMISSION (TMC 2.56)

The Planning Commission consists of nine members who serve six-year terms and are appointed by the Mayor with confirmation of the City Council. The Commission acts as an advisory body to the Council on all land use, comprehensive planning issues, and any other interesting items which the Council feels may need Planning Commission review. The Commission is specifically responsible for providing recommendations on subdivisions, zoning variances, annexation requests, and is an integral part of the implementation of the Growth Management Act. The Commission was created in accordance with RCW Chapter 35.63 and TMC Chapter 2.56. They normally meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
