2nd Annual Tumwater Community Summit:  Poverty & Homelessness

5 - 8 p.m. 

Join education, community and business leaders to discuss topics impacting the health and future of youth and families in the greater Tumwater area. This free event features a pre-summit session; community workshop; dinner and keynote speaker; and breakout sessions.

The Community Summit features keynote speaker Dr. Donna Beegle, Co-Founder and President of Communication Across Barriers, whose mission is to help communities “fight poverty, not those who live in it.”  Dr. Beegle inspires and educates individuals, organizations, politicians and entire communities with proven models to better outcomes for people in poverty.

Educators, students, families and community members are invited to be a part of this special evening with Dr. Donna M. Beegle.

Who should attend?

Educators, business leaders, and community members who are looking for effective approaches to fighting poverty and homelessness are encouraged to participate in the Community Summit.

The event is free, registration is requested.

Join in a community conversation around a specific topic related to homelessness and poverty, facilitated by local leaders. Topics include: Domestic Violence Link to Homelessness, The Opportunity Community Model™, and Local Resources and Solutions to Homelessness: A Planning Session.
