Intermittent Phone Service

Posted Friday, June 22, 2018 (updated 10:15 a.m.; posted 9:08 a.m.)

Some incoming calls to Tumwater City Hall and other City facilities are impacted by a disruption in phone service. Our phone provider is working to identify the problem, and repair the issue. This does not impact emergency calls to 911.

If you have attempted to call us and have been unsuccessful, please be assured that we are still on the job and here to serve you!

As an alternative, look for information about City services in the “I Want To..” section of the website, or use the Staff Directory to send an email with your inquiry.

We do not have an estimated time for repair. Thank you for your patience.

On Wednesday, October 16th, work to upgrade the VOA website will take place between 1500 UTC and 1900 UTC. Visitors to our website may experience problems during that time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Emergency

If you find yourself in an emergency situation where you need your water shut off immediately, please do not hesitate to give us a call at (360) 754-4150 and we will come out to take care of it.

We ask that residents please do not try to access the meter to attempt shutoff themselves. Any damage done to the meter will be the responsibility of the property owner, NOT the City, and the resident will be responsible for replacing the damaged valve.  Public Works will be more than happy to assist you in this, regardless of day or time.

Vacation

Water shutoffs can be requested if you expect to be out of town for an extended period of time.  Please contact the City at (360) 754-4150 and let Public Works know that you would like to request a Vacation Shutoff of your water supply.

Be sure to indicate the length of time, and when you would like the shutoff to begin.  A fee will be applied to your utilities account for this service.
