Tumwater Holiday Assistance Program

For over two decades, the City of Tumwater - with help from City employees and the public - sponsored a Holiday Assistance Program that provided toys and food for families in the Tumwater community.  Over the years, the needs of local families and demands on the program grew, and it became clear that the City needed a partner to continue the program.  In 2011, the City initiated a partnership with the Tumwater Lions Club to do just that.

Now, the City of Tumwater and the Tumwater School District work in cooperation with the Tumwater Lions Club to provide toys, shoes, coats and food to children and families in need in our community over the holiday season. The number of children and families in need has increased significantly in the last few years, and donations of new toys, shoes and coats for infants and children up to 18 years of age are always needed.

Donations of new items are accepted by the Lions Club at the Tumwater Fire Department Headquarters Station, 311 Israel Road SW, or if you wish to donate funds, please write a check to Tumwater Lions Club Foundation (TLCF) and mail it to PO Box 14306, Tumwater, WA 98511.
