Facility Improvements

The new Police facility is complete.

The Police Department expansion and renovation project is complete! The facility was first expanded by 5,000 sq ft to the west, then  the original 5,100 sq ft space within City Hall was renovated. The project began in February 2013, taking nearly 1.5 years to complete.

The project will improve safety for officers and visitors, with a protected police entrance, fenced parking, additional  holding cells and a secure evidence room.

Several enhancements have been made to City Hall as part of this project that were not funded by levy dollars. These include replacement of the roof on City Hall and HVAC upgrades. These additional features were funded primarily through building reserves (general fund). The historic brewery kettle display will be funded by hotel/motel (lodging) tax revenues.
