Appointment Process

The City of Tumwater is seeking candidates for appointment to serve as a Councilmember for Council Position No. 2. The term of the appointment is effective until the next general election of November 2, 2010. To qualify, candidates must be a currently registered Tumwater voter, a current resident of Tumwater and a resident of Tumwater for at least 12 months preceding the temporary appointment. Service involves attendance at numerous, lengthy meetings and reading a large volume of materials in preparation for meetings.

Council Application

Completed applications must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 (late arriving mail will not be accepted) to Tumwater City Hall located at 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, WA 98501. Applications should be directed to James Hendrickson, City Clerk.
