Repayment of Fines


 



  • Payments may be made with credit/debit card, cash, check or money order. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CASH.
  • Please make checks or money orders payable to “TUMWATER MUNICIPAL COURT OR TMC”.
  • A drop box is available at the entrance of the City Hall building located at 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater for your convenience. Please place payment in an envelope addressed to “Municipal Court.” PLEASE DO NOT PLACE CASH IN THE DROP BOX
  • For non-criminal infractions, if you are wishing to make payments on your fine you must contact the court within 15 days of the date of issue of the infraction to receive a hearing with the Judge requesting a payment plan.
  • For criminal cases, you may ask for a 60-day payment agreement with the court for payment of the fine at the time of sentencing, otherwise the fine is due at the time of sentencing.

Credit/Debit Card Payments

  • Court fines and fees may now be paid by credit/debit card in person.

To make any payments, you must know your case number. For criminal cases, your case number will be 8 numbers or 5 numbers and begin with a “C”. If your case is an Infraction, your case number will begin with an “I” and have 5 numbers and if your case is a parking citation, your case number will begin with “P” and have 5 numbers. Please contact the court if you are unsure of your case number.
